Traveling Spaces was born at the crossroads of years of 9-to-5 grind, with experience working in branding + creative direction for corporations, as well as on the editorial side of magazines + blogs.
I started this blog out of my home office, from a deep connection to travel and interior design, but more than that, thinking about how the makeup of a space and the experience of a place influence the way you live in your unique version of everyday life.
I’ll never forget the excitement I felt when my parents revealed my new bedroom when I was just 4 years old. We had just finished building our first (and only) home, and while I was outside playing amongst the south Georgia pine trees, they had worked all day to bring the room together for my big reveal. The experience of walking into the ethereal pink space anchored with handmade pine furniture built by my Grandfather sent my head spinning—it was so beautiful. It was home.
From living in Manhattan, Minneapolis and Atlanta to inspired travel all over the world, that’s the feeling I’ve been chasing ever since—and that’s the feeling I want for each of my readers. When I travel, the great outdoors serves as a major source of inspiration in how I process design, as I believe the natural world is the ultimate form of a balanced, inspired space.
Thanks for stopping by… I hope you’ll stay a while and enjoy. Please say hello when you get some time!
